Daily challenge
One set a day, scored against every other player on the same rounds. Play it each day and your streak keeps building — miss a day and it resets.
A 360° panorama of a real historical moment. Drag to look around and read the clues: buildings, clothing, transport, technology.
Drop a pin on the world map. Scoring is by distance, so the right region already earns you points.
Slide the year anywhere from 3000 BC to today. The closer your date, the higher the score.
Every mode runs on the same five-round core — pick the shape of the game you want.
Play on your own — five rounds, a daily board or a themed run.
Play the same rounds as someone else and compare.
Made for a shared screen — a projector, a pub table, a class.
Five rounds drawn from a single stretch of history — pick the century you know best, or the one you keep getting wrong.
Five rounds inside one theme — read the stage rig, the stand or the marquee, then place the scene and call the year.
Every country page is a run through that nation's history, from its earliest documented scene to its most recent.
Fifty documented events from the scene library, each with a long-form article behind it.

HistoryGuesser is a free history guessing game. You are dropped into a 360° scene from a real historical moment, and you guess two things: where on the map it happened, and in what year. The closer you are on both, the more points you score.
Look for datable clues in the scene — architecture, clothing, transport, signage, technology — then drop a pin on the world map and slide the year to your best estimate. Distance scoring rewards getting the place close; the year score falls away the further your date drifts from the real one.
The game is free and the first five rounds need no sign-up. An account saves your streak, level and Explorer Atlas progress, and lets you appear on the leaderboards.
Same instinct, different puzzle. GeoGuessr asks where in the world you are today; HistoryGuesser asks where and when in history you are. Every scene is a documented moment with a real place, a real date and a short article behind it.
One board of five scenes a day, identical for every player worldwide, built on a fair difficulty ladder from an easy anchor to a wildcard. Past days stay playable in the archive.
