Which country am I in? That is the first question every round here, and the fastest one to get good at. A country guesser trains a specific skill — reading script, architecture, road furniture and landscape until the country falls out of the picture — and this one adds a second question on top: what year is it?
Look for the giveaways: alphabet, flags, roof shapes, plants, which side people drive on.
Drop your pin in the country you have settled on.
Then date the scene, and see the real answer with a note on the event.
Every country we cover has its own five-round game, so you can drill Japan, Germany, Egypt or Peru until their scenes stop fooling you. The atlas shows the whole map of what is playable, and new countries are added automatically as scenes for them appear.
Borders move. A scene set in 1900 may be in a country that did not exist yet, or in one that has since split — so the pin is judged on the physical place, not on today's politics. The reveal always names the modern location as well as the historical one.
