Each asks for one thing the student saw, one thing they concluded from it, and one thing they would need to check before writing it down as fact. Fast to mark, and the third prompt tells you exactly which misconception to open with next lesson.

    How to run it

    1. 1One page yields four slips — print a quarter of your class size and cut down the dashed lines.
    2. 2Run it in the final two minutes, while the last scene is still on the projector.
    3. 3Sort the collected slips into 'observation confused with inference' and 'sound reasoning' — that split is your starter next lesson.
    4. 4Keep a handful blank for the students who finish a game round early.

    Free to photocopy for your classes. Keep the footer credit and use it as often as you like.
